WHU does the Unthinkable...

Today the guild had a meet up in Kharanos for a major guild event. Dwarves came from all over and started showing up at least an hour before event time. Group leaders wasted no time splitting up into groups and passing out thousands of fireworks. There were hundreds of level 50 and below Dwarf Hunters. The exception was our fearless leader Frostheim and a fantastic Droody Bear named Ogham. I can not count the number of Dwarves who would love to tame him for a pet, but I digress .

The Kings audience

After we all got our assignments, we headed for Ironforge to speak with the King. As we were speaking with the king, elementals showed up and we proceeded to lay down some Dwarven hurt. We made quick work of them and were then summoned to Mulgore by some very helpful Warlocks. Our next assignment, given to us by the King himself, was to take care of the moo-cow in charge of Thunderbluff. The biggest problem we ran into was crashing the server, but once we all came back online we made quick work of her (Sorry, Strongtotem...mooo). Thanks again go out to Frostheim and Ogham. It was a very fun time. Group 5 got the kill, a big grats goes out the those rascals.

After a battle at the graveyard, we hearthed to Thelsamar and visited the dam.

Graveyard battle

We drank, shot off fireworks and took our bi-monthly washing. Dwarves really know how to live it up.

Not a good day to be a Gnoll

Thank you much to all who participated. A great time was had by all.

Hunterville...

As many of you know, I have taken my small group of fighters back over to the Alliance. I went over to Horde side to try it out and after 4 months, but I am back. I went over to be in Billavoider's guild and try things out. I am now on Icecrown. I really missed Ironforge and Stormwind, not to mention the races of the Alliance. I started a new baby hunter in the WHU guild and have all of my alts in support guilds. It is a very tight group and everyone helps out and is very appreciative.

The other day I decided to farm ore to make some of the baby hunters Dark Iron Rifle's, they are best in slot at level 50. First I had to get Shadowforge keys on Pikey and Lizardo. Then I got them both attuned to Molten Core as well since I would be lava swimming. I also had to learn to smelt Dark Iron on both. This took me quite some time to do. I spent a lot of time farming ore outside of Blackrock Depths before deciding to farm it inside of the dungeon. I found it much easier to do on Pikey, my deathknight. I got a good route going and made quite a few guns. I would farm the ore on Pikey. Jump in the lava and smelt the ore into bars. Then I sent the bars to Lizardo and he made his way to the Dark Anvil to craft the guns. This was a bit time consuming, but a lot of fun and well worth it. The baby hunters who got guns were so happy. The people who got them really deserved them for helping out the guild.

Blizzcon...

Buffoon, Binky, Russell Brower, Turpster and Billavoider

Buffoon, Billavoider, Ghostcrawler and Binky

Binky and Billavoider in front of Blizzcon

Yesterday, Binky and Billavoider started a quest in search of the Holy Grail know as Blizzcon. We live in the beach areas of San Diego, so it is probably about a 100 mile drive. After we got off of the freeway, we started seeing a lot of people who were obviously there for the convention. The closer we got to the convention center, the more active Binky's nerd-o-meter got. Once we got to the heart of it, Billavoider yelled to me..."Oh my god, look at all of the nerds! These are our people!". We headed into the meet up area and were greeted by our fellow guildies (AIE) and the festivities began. We had a lot of fun meeting people in person for the first time. We hung out for several hours before heading out to the Wowinsider.com party about half a mile away. Billavoider met up with Buffoon and Grark, from AIE, and we headed over to the party with them. This place was going nuts. There were hundreds of people surrounding a pool area with not funny comedians performing off to one side. We got to see a recreation of Booty Bay done completely out of Lego, which was very impressive. Buffoon and I just people watched while Billa ran around like some sort of crazed person. He was home. Off to one side of us were all of the people from "The Guild", with photographers snapping photos like crazy. It wasnt long before a handful of people were in the pool. Binky called that one as soon as he saw the pool. After mingling for quite some time, we were able to meet Anne Stickney and chat with her for about half an hour about lore. This was really fun. Buffoon was in his element and I just sat back and enjoyed the conversation. I told her about Graz, one of my guild mates, who has killed the Baron over 900 times and still no mount. Anne told me the trick to getting the mount. "All you have to do is whisper someone and say, 'I am going to get a horse'. " She went on to tell me how it worked for a friend of hers. Then she did the same thing and voila. Shortly after our conversation ended with Anne, I see Billa heading our way talking to some guy. As he got a bit closer, I realized it was Ghostcrawler. He was very nice and asked what we played...class, spec etc. Shortly thereafter I ran into Turpster from our guild, who was entertaining as always. He was with Russell Brower who we were able to talk with for about half an hour about how he comes up with ideas and inspiration for his music for Warcraft. I told him Anne, Buffoon and I were just talking about how much we loved Karazhan and how awesome the music was. When I told him this, his face lit up and he said, "I wrote all of that." Shortly after this, we decided to head out and make our way back to the hotel. On the way Buffoon shot a photo of Binky and Billa in front of Blizzcon with the huge banner behind us. You may be asking yourself why there are no photos here. Well, Binky did not check his battery on his camera and it was DOA. After getting to the hotel, we parted ways with our friend Buffoon and made headed back to San Diego. We were both on cloud nine. It was an awesome night that we will never forget. Next year I am going up for Blizzcon itself. It was an awesome experience .

About this site and some rules to live by in World of Warcraft

This is a site I made to make your travels more enjoyable. After answering the same questions over an over, I felt it would be much easier just to point people here. If there is something you would like to see on here, that you feel others would find beneficial, please let me know.

1. Many people are willing to help, but most players do not like helping others who are unwilling to help themselves. Looking for a certain trainer etc? Ask a guard in any major city.
2. Do not ask questions by yelling.
3. Do not ask for gold.
4. Do not spam channels, this means any channel on the game.
5. Do not open trade windows with people you do not ask first.
6. Do not invite people to group without first asking.
7. Do not expect to know what is going on in the game for quite some time, there is way too much to know.
8. Being polite gets you a long way with many people. Being appreciative and saying "thank you" could pay off if you need help from that person again at a later date.

I also recommend this as your homepage, type in 'world of warcraft' in the 'exact phrase' box and then type in whatever you are looking for in the top box. This way you have many choices. Wowhead links are my favorites for most things.
